These are some of my reaffirming coping strategies to help with my overstimulating life.

  • Earplugs: Everyday, Anywhere & Anytime. For going outside and for a fully focused study session at home or in public spaces.
  • A carabiner on the belt loop: for my keys. The feeling of security that is visibly accessible at all times.
  • A hip flask: to fit inside my little bag without being too heavy to carry around and drink (no alcohol).
  • A pack of gum: to soothe my oral fixation.
  • A worry stone: for a physical de-stressor during high-intensity situations
  • Music: Ambient for multitasking and low-stimulating activities / High BPM music: for re-energizing.
  • A warm portable lamp: for showering at night or during journaling right before bed.
  • Hot water: after a meal for comforting digestion aid.
  • Snacks: nuts and dried fruit for a healthy sugar intake replacement.
  • Stream of Consciousness Journaling: for anxiety buildup throughout the day (prayer).
  • Tea: (Black after waking up, Green during the afternoon, & Herbal Tea for relaxation and sleep aid).
  • Sleep mask: to block out any light during sleep to promote closed eyes.
